Requirements
Experience
24 months of role experience is required.
24 months of Progressive Care Unit experience is required.
3 months of experience with Epic is preferred.
References
Candidates must provide 1 reference from within the past 36 months in order to be considered for this role
Candidates must provide 1 manager/supervisor reference from within the past 12 months in order to be considered for this role
License
Candidates must have a North Dakota license or compact license

Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week

EOW, first to float

MUST HAVE PCU experience & be able to read strips

Nurse:Patient Ratios: 1:4-5, occasional 5-6 on nights, PCU level care overflow on the unit 1:3

Common diagnosis / Types of patients: adults and geriatrics, Cardiac caths, EP studies, pacers, and ETOH, Covid Bipap, occasional general surgical with heart history, medical patients with cardiac history, penumonia covid, acute on chronic conditions, influenza, sepsis

Experience or 'Must have' skills Tele/ cardiac RN wanted with PCU experience

Common titratable &/or set rate drips: Amio, Cardizem, Heparin, Nitro, Nipride, Lasix, (low dose Dopamine), No Levo

Are RN's required to read their own strips? RN to read and interpret.

Shifts & Scheduling: 7-7 rotation will not occur more than weekly. Manager to make schedule, will consider blocked schedule based on unit needs.

Weekend Requirements: Every other

Holiday Requirements: Every other

Is there Call or a Standby requirement? n/a

Floating Requirements: All areas as helping hands, PCU for full patient load of PCU, MS for full patient assignment, some ER Holds/ boarding

Scrub Color/Dress Code/Scrubs Provided? any color scrubs

How many shifts of unit/department specific orientation? 2- 12 hour shifts, Friday and Saturday of first week of orientation and on own by that Sunday

Additional Notes: More of a tele/ cardiac unit

Candidates may not be full time, part time, or PRN with any facility associated with CommonSpirit, including CHI and/or Dignity.

Additional RTO will not be approved, including after submissions.
