Additional Details:

Guaranteed Hours: 40

Shifts: They will not do 12 hour shifts for this role. Would need to be present before the start of their assigned shift and be present for the majority of that shift.

NMC follows AWHONN’s Standards for Professional Registered Nurse Staffing which is if patient is 6cm or greater dilated - 1:1 ratio; Magnesium drip or insulin drip - 1:1 ratio; otherwise all other will be 1:2 ratio. If there is a scheduled C-Section, the RN will follow that patient through entire care until sign off.

NMC tends to see a lot of high risk patients due to a high diabetic population. Will not perform inductions less than 39 weeks.

Minimum 2 years experience working in L&D setting, 2 years Charge Nurse or Lead Nurse experience, and 1 year Supervisor experience all required.

The candidate needs to have recent patient care experience as they will work on the L&D unit taking care of patients as needed.

Requirements: AWHONN Fetal Monitoring certification or equivalent.
