Monument Health blackout dates for RTO are 8/1/24 - 8/18/24. Any RTO or special requests not included on your application will NOT be considered.

Guaranteed Hour: 48

PCU RN: 1 year of nursing experience

Will you accept a first-time traveler? Yes, if greater than 1 year of experience

1st time traveler must have EPIC experience

Permanent staff must wait 1 full year to return as a traveler

6-week schedules

Weekend rotation: Travelers could be scheduled for up to 4 out of the 6 weekends, which include Friday, Saturday and Sunday

No mandatory call time

Currently not accepting RTO requests during holidays – send RTO requests to manager for approval around winter holidays

Ok to approve up to a week and a half – must extend if taking a full week off.

We do have blackout dates from August 1-18th (exact dates change each year) due to our Sturgis Motorcycle Rally. No time off is approved during this time.

Teaching hospital – potential to work with students

Comfortability to take MedSurg assignments – please decline if not

Required Education: Completion of a nursing education program that is approved by a board of nursing

Skills required:

Previous experience with above-mentioned patients, including IMC/stepdown and neuro (can float to ONS); ability to read/interpret cardiac strips, wound care, line management, drain/tube management, drip titration of below medications

Drip Titration: please ensure nurse is comfortable with the following – Heparin, Insulin, Cardizem, Amiodarone, Levophed (up to 5 mcg), occasionally esmolol drips or other Betablockers or other antihypertensives

Floating: If yes, where? Any Adult Inpatient Unit - Med Surg, Ortho/Neuro/Surgical, Heart and Vascular Unit, Oncology, Observation

Could be floated within scope of practice and below

Will float in rotation with other travelers
