Experience
12 months of Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit experience is required.
Experience with Cerner is required.
References
Candidates must provide 2 references from within the past 12 months in order to be considered for this role

Candidates must have a Illinois license

Additional Details:

Shift: can accommodate 4x12s if candidate prefers.

Average Daily Census: 25.

Weekend Req: Will work every other weekend (Fri/Sat for night shift, Sat/Sun for day shift)

Is on-call Req: No.

Will clinician float within scope to meet facility needs: Yes- will float to like units (MS/Cardiac). Not IMC/ICU.

Open to accommodating block schedule: Discuss schedule request with manager.

Special Requirements: Required Work Setting Experience: MS/Tele, Telemetry, Cardiac Telemetry. Required Cardiac Monitoring and Emergency response Skills/Experience: Interpretation of dysrhythmias, Management of dysrhythmias, Telemetry -on the unit monitoring, Telemetry- remote monitoring, Use of Rapid Response Teams. Required Cardiovascular Case Skills/Experience: Post Cardiac Angiogram, Post MI, Pre/Post Cardiac Cath, TR Band. Required Endocrine/Metabolic Case Skills/Experience: IV insulin protocols. Required IV therapy/Phlebotomy Skills/Experience: Blood Product Administration, Central line care/management, Peripheral Line Care/Management, PICC line management, Starting IVs. Required Medication Skills/Experience: Heparin Protocols, Manage Cardiac drips- no titration, Titrate Cardiac drips. Required Respiratory Case Skills/Experience: Chest tubes-Emerson/Pleur-evac, External CPAP/BIPAP, High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC), Nasal Cannula, Oxygen face masks, Portable Oxygen tank, Non-invasive airway management. Required Professional Topics and Skills: Isolation Precautions, Wound Care/Wound Vac.

Scrub Color: Any solid color scrubs.

Parking Cost: parking permit required, no cost. Will fill out form during orientation.

RTO – we can auto-approve 5 days of non holiday RTO or less. Anything more requires facility approval. Candidate MUST WORK 2 out of 3 major holidays.

Floating is 100% required of ALL TRAVELERS - Candidates will float within hospital or to an affiliate hospital/s near by

Background Policy to be noted prior to submission so we can seek approval prior to offer

Any PERM or PRN employee of Memorial must be away for 12 months before applying as a traveler
