Will you accept a first-time traveler? Yes, if greater than 1 year of experience 1st time traveler MUST have EPIC experience

Required Education: RN: Completion of a nursing education program that is approved by a board of nursing; Registered Nurse (RN) - South Dakota Board of Nursing

Previous experience with our types of patients above, including IMC/stepdown acuity and Neuro Ability to read/interpret cardiac strips, chest tubes, trach care (no fresh traches), NGT tube placement and management, JP drains, line management – PICC/Midline/CVL/PIV placement, wound vacs (Wound Care RN will change out the vac but RN must know how to assess and will need to change to wet/dry dressing in case of malfunction), wound care/dressing changes, medication administration, TPN/tube feeding, blood product transfusions, urinary and fecal collection devices Drip titration of below medications: most commonly – Heparin, Insulin, Cardizem, Amiodarone, Levophed (up to 5 mcg), occasionally esmolol drips (will train if traveler has not done these) or other Betablockers or other antihypertensives

Comfortability to take MedSurg assignments – please decline if not

Floating: Any Adult Inpatient Unit - Med Surg, Ortho/Neuro/Surgical, Heart and Vascular Unit, Oncology, Observation Could be floated within scope of practice and below Will float in rotation with other travelers

Weekend rotation: Travelers could be scheduled for up to 4 out of the 6 weekends, which include Friday, Saturday and Sunday Please include in offer if traveler is open to working every weekend (WOW) as this may be a possibility Will they be on call? No mandatory call time. If it is an extra shift on top of their already guaranteed hours, and we have enough staff then they could be placed on call for that shift
