Additional Details:
A minimum of 1 year acute care experience is required to work in acute care facilities. The following are considered acute care facilities: Hospital (General Acute Care as well as Psychiatric, Specialized and Rehabilitation Hospitals, and Long Term Acute Care or LTAC), and Ambulatory Care Facilities.
Bi-Weekly Orientation
Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36
Weekend Hours: Every other weekend or a minimum of three weekends in a 6-week schedule
Float Requirements: Only during times of low census which is rare. If floated would assist in other units as a sitter or tasker.
Patient Ratios: 5:1 but could change to 6:1 soon
Equipment: Tele monitoring, Bladder scans, SCDs, CPAP/BiPAP, Baxter IV pumps, Hoyer lift, PCAs, Doppler, EKG
Patient Population e.g. “geriatric, adult, peds, etc.”: Geriatric, adult
Preferred Skillset/Experience: Experience in med surg, ER, or ICU
Common Diagnosis/Treatment: GI bleeds, chest pain r/o, bowel resections, stroke, CHF/COPD exacerbations, respiratory failure, UTIs, post-operative total joint
Required Education: ADN or BSN
Scrub Color: Any solid color
Any unacceptable attire: No open toe shoes
