Previous perm staff must be gone for 2 years before they are eligible to return in a traveler capacity. No exceptions.
Artificial nails are not allowed for any travelers. Failure to adhere could result in being sent home and/or terminated if policy is not followed.
Guaranteed Hours 36
Travelers will be scheduled where they are needed. They will allow block scheduling as long as the needs of the unit are met.
Weekend Requirement Every-other-weekend. Weekend shifts for Days are Sat/Sun
Holiday Requirement Holidays will depend on the needs of the unit. If they don't have enough perm staff to cover holidays, travelers would be expected to work holidays.
Floating Requirements Travelers are the 1st to float. Floating is required to any MedSurg units. If floated to Tele they would be assigned patients w/ in skillset.
Beds 33-Beds, All private rooms
Common diagnoses/Types of patients A lot of elective surgeries: hips, knees, shoulders; some fractures from falls; back & neck (Neuro-surgeries), as well as general MedSurg
Experience or 'Must have' skills Must have experience with ortho patients & PCA Pumps

Scrub Color/Dress Code Royal Blue - Scrub jackets are not required; however, if they wear a jacket it must be an actual scrub jacket & must be royal blue. No hoodies or sweat-jackets.
