EOW Nights Holiday Rotation
Common diagnosis / Types of patients COVID, resp, GI, Diabetics, Tele, TIA, CVA as well as general, orthopedic and spinal surgical patients
Experience or 'Must have' skills Reading basic tele strips, some experience with general and orthopedic surgical patients, CVA and TIA.
Cerner experience recommended as there is only one day of orientation
Are RN's required to titrate drips No
Common titratable &/or set rate drips Diltiazem at a set rate
Tele/Monitor Techs on this unit? Do RN's read strips? Tele is monitored remotely, tele techs are on the 3rd floor. Monitor techs read and post strips. RN’s are required to interpret strips and sign at least once a shift.
RT/Equipment (ie Cpap, Bipap, High Flow) Bipap, Cpap, high flow, and some breathing treatments.
Shifts & Scheduling Shifts are 12 hours 7-730 with a 30 min unpaid lunch. Schedules are made out for 4 weeks. Self-scheduling is used but not final until the manager balances
Weekend Requirement 2 weekends per 4-week schedule
Holiday Requirement For Christmas, New Years, and Thanksgiving, I like them to work 2 days and 1 eve or 2 eves and a day (Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year’s Eve, New Year’s Day, Thanksgiving Day)

Floating Requirements Yes, they may float to East Campus, and possibly PCU if qualified
