Travel Nurse (RN) - Telemetry Unit

Guaranteed 36 hours per week

Shift Notes: 4 weekend shifts in a 4 week schedule; first to float, could float to sister facility Mercy Gilbert

Travelers will need to pass a dysrhythmia exam within 48 hours of receiving offer, through RELIAS, only (with 2 MAX attempts). There is also a PASS/FAIL SIM LAB on day one of orientation (study guides will be provided with first day instructions.)

Common diagnoses/Types of patients ED holds waiting for placement on a unit, primarily MS/Tele

MUST HAVE a strong cardiac tele background, preferably 2 years. Must be able to decrease cardiac drips per physicians’ orders and parameters. Nurses will be caring for more tele patients VS medical.

RNs required to titrate drips. Nurses must be able to read & interpret strips.

Holiday Requirement Rotate in with the perm staff

Is there a call or standby requirement? No call required

Floating Requirements Would float to med/surg/tele/overflow units and CRMC/MGMC Eds as needed.

Scrub Color/Dress Code Navy

Additional Notes Will be caring for patients from the ER who are waiting on a bed in the hospital.

Additional Questions May be asked to help with ED patients including vitals, IV starts and medicaton administration. Will not be asked to be primary RN for ED patient assignment.
