Requirements
Experience
12 months of role experience is required from any number of months.
18 months of Neonatal Intensive Care Unit experience is required from any number of months.
Experience with Epic is preferred from any number of months.
References
Candidates must provide 2 manager/supervisor references from within the past 12 months in order to be considered for this role
License
Candidates must have a South Dakota license or compact license

Additional Details:

Monument Health blackout dates for RTO are 8/1/24 - 8/18/24. Any RTO or special requests not included on your application will NOT be considered.

Guaranteed Hour: 36

Will you accept a first-time traveler? Yes, only with 2+ years of experience

Permanent staff must wait 1 full year to return as a traveler

Patient Types:

Neonates – all gestational ages

Level 3 NICU

Diagnoses include, but not limited to: Low Birth weight, High frequency ventilation, nitric oxide, total body cooling, feeders/growers No ECMO, No cardiac surgery at this time

Required Education: Completion of a nursing education program that is approved by a board of nursing; Registered Nurse (RN) - South Dakota Board of Nursing

Skills required: Will consider 36 or 48 hour contracts Vent management, IV Starts, chest tubes, IV med titration, experience with Neonatal Resuscitation is preferred (CN will attend deliveries)

Floating: If yes, where? PICU, Pediatrics, Postpartum, Newborn Nursery, Adult (Constant Observation Only) - (overflow on peds unit)

Scheduling:

Weekend rotation: no weekend rotation, traveler may work mostly weekends

Will they be on call? If so, what is that schedule? Yes, only if placed on call for Low Census

Holiday Expectations: Yes, 2/4 major holidays

Approval of time off? If pre-approved by Management
