Experience
24 months of Acute Care Float Pool experience is required from any number of months.
Experience with Epic is preferred from any number of months.
References
Candidates must provide 2 manager/supervisor references from within the past 2 years in order to be considered for this role
License
Candidates must have a Missouri license or compact license

Additional Details:

BJC policy: Every other weekend required.

RNs only - Clinicians who obtained RN degree outside of the U.S. and do not hold MO/IL/Compact license require extended licensing and compliance timeframe.

No medical marijuana cards accepted.

Start date: 3-4 weeks out per compliance tier

First-timers accepted: (Y/N): Yes

Weekend REQ: Every other weekend or 6 weekend shifts per 6 week schedule minimum (weekend= Saturday/Sunday); plus holiday rotation obligation

Will clinician float within scope to meet facility needs? Yes. Will float to all Medical units, renal, oncology, and neuro

  • Float process: If we pre-assign the worker to a particular unit for any part of their contract with us, it will be communicated to the worker along with the timeframe for the pre-assignment.
  • Workers that remain in our float pool are asked to call in to a recorded line up to 1 hour before the scheduled shift start time, to receive their unit assignment for that shift.

RTO must be on the submittal and cannot be changed once the profile has been sent to the manager for review.

No RTO the first week of an assignment.

Amount of RTO: please, no more than 7 days of RTO per 13 week contract, HIGHLY encouraged - (for Float pool, 7 days RTO max - hard rule)

BJC policy: Every other weekend required

Holiday Policy: Any holiday time off is at the discretion of the Unit Manager and must be approved at the time of submittal.

Return Staff Policy (ex: gone 1 yr or 6 months to return as traveler) –

Permanent employees at must wait 1 year before returning to any BJC facility as a traveler.

All Standard Travelers (reside outside of a 75 mile radius) can stay for an 18 month period. Must take a 3 month break after 18 months.
