Experience

12 months of role experience is required from any number of months.

12 months of RN First Assist experience is required from last 3 years.

BSN completion preferred

References

Candidates must provide 1 manager/supervisor reference from within the past 12 months in order to be considered for this role

Additional Details:

Scheduling: Expected to work every other weekend, every other holiday where applicable.

Block booking and Schedule patterns are based on department needs.

Guaranteed Hours 40

Shift: Monday - Friday, 0630/0700 - 1500/1530

Call: 1-2 nights per week, every 4th weekend

Bed size/number of rooms for this unit/dept: Seven ORs.

Required skills and minimum years of experience:

Two years of experience in the OR with expertise in multiple specialty areas.
Specialties include ortho, general, urology, podiatry, ENT, OB/GYN, ophthalmology

Required: Successful completion of approved RNFA program that meets the AORN (Association of Operating Room Nurses) recommend education, meets requirements of statues, regulations and institutional policies relevant to RN first assistants' standards for RN first assistant programs and is accepted by the Certification Board Perioperative Nursing.
