Housing in ME becomes more expensive in the summer months, beginning in May. Be sure to confirm you are comfortable with housing options before applying.
RTO and shift requests will not be accepted after submittal.
26 week contract is preferred but not required.
Will accept first time travelers.
Patient Types: Any medical diagnosis except primary Cardiac could be seen on this unit.
Unit will monitor patients on Telemetry (Med-Tele)
Common diagnoses include but are not limited to: Stroke, COPD, Respiratory issues and illnesses – Flu/PNA/COVID, GI Bleed, Renal Failure (AKI/CKD), Electrolyte imbalance, altered mental status, weakness, non-operable fractures
Non-surgical unit.
Patient Ratios: May vary based on patient acuity, tech support, insulin drips within assignment, etc.
Required: EKG Interpretation
Previous charge experience highly preferred.
Required: Cardiac drips (Cardizem, Amiodarone), Insulin drips, Heparin drips - training available from charge and educator.
Required: Reading/Interpreting Rhythm strips
Required: Trach care, Chest tube management, General Medical Surgical skills (wound care, IVABX, Drain/tube management, IV starts, central line management, etc.)
Floating: Will float as often as needed to any area with Med/Tele patients (within or below scope)
Weekend rotation: every other
Call required: none
Holiday Expectations: No Holiday RTO is accepted at this time
RTO: Manager approval
Scrub Color: Any, must be professional
No crocs with holes, no artificial nails, no personal cell phone usage unless on break
Parking: Free in designated areas
