Experience
24 months of Medical Surgical Unit experience is required.
Experience with Cerner is preferred.
References
Candidates must provide 2 charge/lead references in order to be considered for this role
License
Candidates must have a Missouri license or compact license

Additional Details:

Medical Specialties is servicing internal medicine patients with a wide range of medical diagnosis. Room amenities range from video monitoring capability, sitter rooms (up to 4 and 2 patients), ceiling lifts, and bariatric rooms. charge nurse & supervisor on every shift.

Required to float to MS and MS/Tele.

Prefer 2 years, but willing to consider 1.5 years of M/S experience for quality candidates.

Work 50% of holidays that fall within contract. RTO not granted for holidays but will work with traveler on which holidays they want to work to meet their 50% requirement.

50% of weekends on contract required.

RTO must be included at time of submittal or will not be approved- NO EXCEPTIONS

Return Travelers: If a traveler takes a break after an assignment and returns within 18 months, re- orientation is not required.

Floating is required and mandatory for all units. All travelers will be expected to float to any area at UMHS as a Patient Observer (PTOB) – “Sitter.”

Must be CPI Blue Card.
