Requirements

Additional Details:

Weekend REQ: every other weekend in a 6 week schedule, will not approve weekend time off requests

Is on-call REQ? No.

RTO Restrictions: Discuss time off requests with manager.

Special Requirements: General Emergency Department-Combined Adult/Pedi experience required. Required Cardiac Monitoring and Emergency response Skills/Experience: Interpretation of dysrhythmias, Management of dysrhythmias, Management of patient with multisystem organ dysfunction/failure, Obtain 12 lead EKG. Required IV therapy/Phlebotomy Skills/Experience: Blood Product Administration, Central line care/management, Starting IVs.

Required Medication Skills/Experience: Continuous IV sedation, Emergency Medications, IV vasopressors, Procedural Sedation Administration. Required Neurological Case Skills/Experience: CVA. Required Pediatric Case Skills/Experience: Abdominal Pain, Asthma, Identifying and reporting abuse, Infections, Mental/behavioral health conditions, Respiratory infections, Seizures, Urinary tract infections. Required Psychiatric Case Skills/Experience: Acute psychosis, Drug overdose, Managing violent behavior, Suicidal patient.

Required Respiratory Case Skills/Experience: Chest tube insertion/management, Ventilated patients. Required Professional Topics and Skills: Isolation Precautions, Triage. Cerner experience required. Community Hospital Experience required.

Scrub Color: Any solid color scrubs.

Parking Cost: parking permit required, no cost. Will fill out form during orientation

RTO – we can auto-approve 5 days of non holiday RTO or less. Anything more requires facility approval. Candidate MUST WORK 2 out of 3 major holidays.

Floating is 100% required of ALL TRAVELERS - Candidates will float within hospital or to an affiliate hospital/s near by

RQI cards not accepted

Background Policy to be noted prior to submission so we can seek approval prior to offer

Any PERM or PRN employee of Memorial must be away for 12 months before applying as a traveler

Modules:

  • Completed virtually on first day by EOD, then annually
  • Non-clinical hours do not vary; module hours may vary for clinical roles
