Self-scheduling is used, but is not finalized until Manager balances it. Schedules are out 4 weeks. Block scheduling is generally not available.
Report is at the bedside. OT and extra shifts are available.
Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
Holidays: Rotate in with core staff
For Holiday RTO: Travelers will work 2 of the 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years). Unit managers will make the final call on scheduling, but we would include this verbiage on the confirmation. Holiday time off will be considered, however not guaranteed
Floating: All other Sacramento facilities. Mid-shift float to another facility is rare, but can happen. First to float.
Unit: FBC - L&D / OB-Antepartum and Postpartum / Mother Baby
Additional Notes: L&D Travelers are expected to float to Mother Baby. C-sections are done in OR. Babies < 34 weeks or unstable are transported to San Juan's Level 3 NICU.
Modules are required to be done before start of assignment.
