Requirements
Experience
24 months of Medical Surgical Unit experience is required from any number of months.
References
Candidates must provide 2 manager/supervisor references from within the past 2 years in order to be considered for this role
License
Candidates must have a Missouri license or compact license
Certifications
BLS (Required)
Vaccinations

Additional Details:

12 hour days alternating weekends and holidays

48 guaranteed hours.

Nurse to Patient Ratio: Typcially 1:6 but may be higher at times. Nurse must be willing to take a 1:8 ratio when needed. This is not the normal, but can happen at times.

Floating: Infrequent as we are a small unit we need 2 nurses at all times. Howver, nurses must be willing to float to MS units when needed.

Line Management Skills:

Required: IV Insertion, PICC/Central Line Management Preferred: PA Line Management, Vascular Device Access/Care, Dialysis Fistula Care/Management, A-Line Management, CVP, iABP Cardiac Skills:

Required: Obtain 12 Lead EKG, Remote Tele, Cardioversion/Defibrillation Preferred: Tele Interpretation, Sheath Removal, Epicardial Pacer Management Airway Skills:

Required: CPAP/BiPAP Preferred: Trach Care Ortho/MS/Onc Skills:

Required: Feeding Tubes, Wound Vac Preferred: Traction, CPM, Epidural/PCA Pumps, Chemo Administration Behavioral Health:

Preferred: Exp. w/Chemical Dependency, Exp. w/Eating Disorders, ECT/TMS or other Brain Stimulation Therapies
