Travel Nurse (RN) - Psychiatric Unit

Position: Behavioral Health RN

Ratios: 1:12 with assistance from techs

Floating Details: Must float PRN, 3 facilities w/in 24 mi of main: Mesa, Roosevelt, Maryvale; MUST be willing to float down to BHT PRN Pt Age Group: Adolescents, adults, geriatrics

HARD STOP 1 year experience in M/S in last 5 years. Clinical will be screening for a year of MS experience within the last 5 years ; this either needs to be 1 year of a MS unit or 1 year of a true psych MS unit; cannot be floating! RNs will NOT float to MS units. They will be staying on psych units, but some patients might have minor MS needs.

Min Years of Exp: 2 years of psych, 1 year experience in M/S in last 5 years

Required Skills: Tube feedings, NG tube insertion / maintenance, Foley catheter insertion / maintenance, Starting and maintaining IVs, Voluntary /involuntary commitment

Any Other Special Requirements/Details: Must be willing to perform charge role for all areas, including med-psych.

First-Timer OK: Yes, from like facility

Preferred Certs: CPI – offered on-site

Weekend REQ: 1 weekend shift per week (Friday is not considered weekend)

Open to Block: No

Other Details: Orientation starts on Tuesday and is held during Days ONLY – orientation is 2 weeks
