Travel Nurse (RN) - Vascular Access Team

Additional Details:

Shift: Rotating D/N, flexible to rotate to nights as needed

Every other weekend required; Typically it would be one week of nights followed by a week of days, but there could be mid-week rotations as well.

Unit does their best to allow appropriate time off between rotations, typically 48 hours. Currently don’t have as many night needs, but really need travelers to be flexible to be utilized to fill as many of our critical vacancies as possible.

No block schedules for any reason.

Required to float to place PIV, trouble shoot PIV and PICC lines, ports, DSG. changes, draw bloods as back up, etc.; Place peripheral IVs at the bedside, remove PIVs, trouble shoot lines, completes DSG. changes, etc. They also access ports and help flush ports

We have PICC RNs that place PICC lines at bedside; Must be able to assess PICC lines, complete DSG changes for PICCs and administer TPA as needed

PICC line placement is not a requirement but please note if traveler is certified

Viable candidates would be ER RNs, infusion RNs.

Must have large trauma level 1 experience in the last year

Strong IV skills, AVA Certified, PICC skills, etc.

Public Transportation is NOT accessible in this area, please ensure you have reliable transportation, personal vehicle or rental vehicle are strongly recommended. Vehicles should be equipped with all season or snow tires during the months of November – April.
