Additional Details:

Shifts are 12 hours in length and will be a rotation of days and nights. Department does self scheduling 6 weeks at a time, and RN will be asked for a willingness to work 3 weekends or a holiday during the 6 week schedule if needed to meet the patient care needs. RN will have the option of picking up extra shifts, and can schedule 4 shifts a week if desired, however the fourth shift has the option of vexing if unit census indicates this. Unit works very hard to cover patient needs while trying to balance team requests.

Guaranteed Hours 36 per week

2 years of strong Level III NICU experience required.

RN will care for babies in the Level II Nursery and will attend all deliveries and C-sections. Minimal babies on ventilators (if baby needs to be on vent for longer than 24 hours then will be shipped out to larger facility). If no babies in Level II nursery, then RN will care for babies in the general nursery. Mother-Baby experience is required, will float to this unit.

Would also prefer candidate have couplet care competency or the willingness to learn basic mom/baby skills to assist in the departments.

Department utilizes Meditech for physician orders and GE Centricity for charting.

Dress code: scrubs are provided by the department.
