Requirements

Experience

12 months of role experience is required from any number of months.

Travel experience is preferred from any number of months.

36 months of Pediatric Post Anesthesia Care Unit experience is required from last 12 months.

3 months of experience with Epic is preferred from any number of months.

References

Candidates must provide 2 references from within the past 12 months in order to be considered for this role

Additional Details:

Recent experience at a teaching facility preferred.

No artificial/gel/powder nails are allowed per TCH's policy.

TCH requires any clinician that is or were perm staff to wait 6 months before applying for a traveler position. Please note this timeline may vary slightly because this timeline is based on the units discretion.

Shift per week: One RN will work from 0800-1830 (4 x 10 hour shifts), the other 2 RN’s will work from 0930-1900 (4 x 10 hour shifts).

Other Shift Details: One on-call shift during the week day (Monday through Friday) from 1900-0700 twice per month and one weekend shift from 0700-0700 on Saturday and Sunday once per 13 week contract.

The daily case volume is 40-55 cases per day.

We specialize in a wide range of pediatric surgical services, including dental, ENT, general surgery, gastrointestinal (GI), gynecology, ophthalmology, urology, pain, and orthopedic procedures.

PACU has 20 post-anesthesia bays and 4 additional bays for overflow bays in pre-op holding. Phase I and Phase II recovery completed primarily in PACU.
