Weeknight/Call Requirements M-F on call till 9p endo 1-2 shifts per week. Sat. and Sun - 12-hour coverage 7am-7pm
Holiday/Call Requirements None- OP surgery and infusion closed for holidays.12-hour Call coverage 7am-7pm
What is call response time? 30 minutes
Float - Infusion - IV starts, Central Line dressing changes,
For floating to infusion- iv starts, picc lines, basic infusions (atbs antibiotics, blood, iron, hydration, injections), no chemo (cancer center)-
POD - Admitting, Recovering, and Discharging patients endoscopy could cover pre/post op care- Endo background very beneficial ---endo to infusion center as back up if no endo cases or low number
Floating Requirements Float to Infusion, POD - pre/postop recovery room & outpatient surgery recovery
Dress Code Provided
Required Duties Endoscopy - pre, intra, and post op care. Moderate Sedation - experience is a must.
Common Cases Endoscopy - EGD, Colonoscopy, ERCP - including, but not limited to PEG, banding, polypectomies, dilation, tattoo, control bleeding, foreign body removal, sphincherotomy, stent placement, balloon sweep. Infusion - antibiotics, fluids & injections, dressing changes, blood transfusions. Endo - upper & lower, inpatient also do ERCPs. Endo can be done in either the outpatient center or inpatient
Unit/Department specific orientation 1-2 shifts- varied on experience.
