Travel Nurse (RN) - Intensive Care Unit

Shift: 0700-1930

36 guaranteed hours.

Floating to PCU is mandatory and nurse must be willing to float there when needed.

Must be float to Med Surg units as needed. Will be required to take up to 4-5 patients when floated.

Nurse Patient Ratio: typically 1:2, can be 1:1 or 1:3 as well (Specific ratio is not guaranteed)

Patient Age Groups: Adults, Geriatric

Line Management Skills Required: IV Insertion, PICC/Central Line Management, Vascular Device Access/Care, Dialysis Fistula Care/Management, A-Line Management, CVP Preferred: PA Line Management, IABP

Cardiac Skills Required: Sheath Removal, Cardioversion/Defibrillation Preferred: Obtain 12 Lead EKG, Epicardial Pacer Management

Airway Skills: Required: Procedural Sedation, CPAP/BiPAP, Ventilators, High Freq Vents/Oscillators, Nitric Oxide, Trach Care

Critical Care Skills Preferred: EVD Management, ICP Monitoring, Impella/LVAD, Dialysis (obtain details – peritoneal/CRRT/CVVHD), Rapid Infuser

Ortho/MS/Onc Skills: Required: Feeding Tubes, Wound Vac Preferred: Epidural/PCA Pumps

Behavioral Health Preferred: Exp. w/Chemical Dependency
