A minimum of 12 months acute care experience in the United States is required. Unit experience must include 12 continuous months.
GH bi-weekly: 72
Ratio: 2:1-Occasionally because of staffing demands or patients that 1:1 care, we do a 3:1 ratio on some of our more stable patients. This is done on a rotating basis depending on whose turn it is to take the 3 patient assignments.
RTO blackout dates: No time granted off during spring break: 3/30/25-4/5/25
Scope of role: Candidates must be competent in managing care of the highest level of acuity patients, with a background in neuro/trauma. Orientation is 1 week, day 1 is hospital based learning classes (Cerner charting training, compliance training and glucometer training). After classes you will meet with our unit educators and will be provided with an orientation packed and unit tour, time remaining that day will be spent completing your required online training and orientation packet. Days 2 and 3 are spent on the unit on the designated shift candidates will be working with a preceptor RN learning the flow of the unit. 1 day will be spent on MSIC (3rd floor trauma ICU) and 1 day will be spent on ICU4 (4th floor neuro ICU).
