12 months of role experience is required.
24 months of Medical Surgical Unit experience is required.
References
Candidates must provide 1 reference from within the past 36 months in order to be considered for this role
Candidates must provide 1 manager/supervisor reference from within the past 12 months in order to be considered for this role

Guaranteed Hours 36

Travelers are expected to fill holes but managers will try to accommodate block scheduling as schedule allows, open to weekenders if traveler would like to work every weekend but that is not required

Weekend Requirement: every other or 2 weekends per month is standard, could be higher to meet needs of department

Holiday Requirement: rotate in with regular staff

Is there Call or a Standby requirement?: no

Floating Requirements?: within skillset, all staff float between all MedSurg units. higher acuity patients would be given to core staff

Unit Med/Surg 2N Infectious Disease

  • Beds: 32
  • Nurse Patient Ratios: typical ratio for all MedSurg units is 1:5 up to 1:6 at times, ratio would be adjusted down for higher acuity patients
  • Common diagnoses/Types of patients current COVID unit, also takes MedSurg overflow
  • Experience or 'Must have' skills: level 1 trauma experience required. experience at a larger facility with a lot of surgeries/high acuity patients, must be comfortable with lines, chest tubes
  • Are RNs required to titrate drips?: heparin, could have an order for Amio and that can be started and then patient would be transferred to cardiac unit

Scrub Color/Dress Code/Scrubs provided? any color, needs to be solid color and professional
