Requirements

Experience

12 months of role experience is required.

18 months of Cardiac Transitional Care Unit experience is required.

Experience with Epic is required.

References

Candidates must provide 2 manager/supervisor references from within the past 12 months in order to be considered for this role

Candidates must have a South Dakota license or compact license

Monument Health blackout dates for RTO are 8/1/24 - 8/18/24. Any RTO or special requests not included on your application will NOT be considered.

Patient Types: This is a mixed acuity unit meaning there will be Intermediate Care acuity as well as Tele and MedSurg – please ensure traveler understands; Direct admits, ED admits, Post Cath Lab, etc; MI, NSTEMI & STEMI (IABP would go to ICU), CHF, Dysrhythmia management, Pacemaker malfunction, Epicardial pacers; Backup Stroke unit and Medical Overflow Step down level experience with post cardiac/vascular, post-cardiac cath patients, post open heart surgery, post TAVR, post EP studies, post pacemaker insertion

Skills required: PCU level RN; Experience with Cardiac procedural recovery (CABG/TAVR/post cardiac cath), MI pharmacology, titratable Cardiac/vasoactive gtts (Cardizem, Amiodarone, Nitro, Levo, Dopamine) – please request manager approval if traveler does not have this, Heparin gtts, cardiac rhythm interpretation, chest tubes management, TNK administration (preferred)

Scheduling: Weekend rotation: Every other; Holiday Expectations: Every other

Approval of time off? Must extend if taking a full week off. No time off the first (3) weeks of August annually (Sturgis Bike Rally)
