Requirements

Experience

24 months of Oncology Unit experience is required.

3 months of experience with Epic is preferred.

References

Candidates must provide 1 charge/lead reference from within the past 36 months in order to be considered for this role

Candidates must provide 1 manager/supervisor reference from within the past 12 months in order to be considered for this role

License

Candidates must have a Wisconsin license or compact license

Vaccinations

Guaranteed Hours Per Week: 48

Shift Requirements: Variable Days/PMs/NOCs

Weekend/Holiday: Every other weekend and holiday

Float Requirements: Will float as needed to other areas and care for patients within scope, can float in 4 hour blocks and will float before staff RNs

On Call/Call Back Requirements: N/A

1 YR on MSO Unit preferred. Oncology experience required.

Charting Experience: If no Epic experience, must have previous electronic charting experience.

Unit Specific Skillset: MedSurg Oncology unit. Patient population mainly consists of surgical oncology and medical oncology patients. Very small population coming in to receive chemo treatments.

Unit Overview (Patient ratio, etc.): Patient ratio ranges from 4:1 or 5:1 on Days and PMs. Night shift is normally 5:1 but can get up to 7:1 (not common).

Scrub color: any color

Education: Associate Degree or Certificate Required; Bachelor’s Degree Preferred.
