Requirements
Experience
6 months of travel experience is required.
24 months of Cardiac Transitional Care Unit experience is required.
3 months of experience with Epic is required.

Additional Details:

While only one reference is required for submittal, two manager references will need to be provided during onboarding in order to be compliant with Johns Hopkins requirements.

CVPCU is a fast-paced surgical step-down unit made up of a multidisciplinary team that primarily cares for patients recovering from cardiac and some vascular surgeries.

Experience: 2 years Cardiac open heart recovery experience, strong Surgical IMC experience, ICU experience required for management of High Acuity IMC patients.

Preferred: Critical Care Certification; ACLS

Looking for RNs with experience taking care of patients who are 1+ days out from CABG, Valve Repairs/Replacements, and Aortic Aneurysm Repairs, all via sternotomy

Nurse-Patient Ratio: Mixed level of care assignments with IMC and Telemetry patients. Ratios are typically 1:3 during the day and 1:4 at night
