Requirements

Experience

24 months of role experience is required from any number of months.

24 months of Cardiac Transitional Care Unit experience is required from any number of months.

Experience with Epic is preferred from any number of months.

References

Candidates must provide 1 manager/supervisor reference from within the past 12 months in order to be considered for this role

Candidates must provide 1 reference from within the past 3 years in order to be considered for this role

License

Candidates must have a Nebraska license or compact license

Guaranteed Hours: 48

Candidates may not be full time, part time, or PRN with any facility associated with CommonSpirit, including CHI and/or Dignity.

Nurse-Patient Ratios: 1:4, 1:3 for post surgical patients in the first 24 hours

Common diagnoses/Types of patients: Patients who require intermediate care and downgraded CVICU patients. Unit heavily supports the thoracic program, EP, cath lab, and structural heart. Cath Lab, CVAs, CHF, A fib RVR and any other cardiac and vascular related diagnosis.

Experience or 'Must have' skills: 1 year of experience with this patient population

RNs are required to titrate drips. Common titratable &/or set rate drips: Amio, nitro, nicardipine, epi, cardizem, and multiple other medications for blood pressure management

RNs must read and interpret strips.

Weekend Requirements: Every other

Call or standby requirement: N/A

Floating Requirements: Will float to all same level and lower levels of acuity

Scrub Color/Dress Code: Navy Blue

How many shifts of unit/department specific orientation: Tailored to needs and experience, 1-2 shifts on unit

RTO needed upfront (7 or less days per 13 week contract). Additional RTO will not be approved, including after submissions.
