Requirements
Experience
18 months of Post Anesthesia Care Unit experience is required.
3 months of experience with McKesson is preferred.
References
Candidates must provide 2 references in order to be considered for this role

Additional Details:

Recent experience at a level 1 trauma center is required.

No block scheduling.

D/N Rotation – Variable Starts of 0700, 0800, 0900, 1000, 1100, and 1900.

We care for patients whom have had all different types of surgeries with the most frequent being although not limited to: Vascular (carotids/AAA repairs), General, Thoracic (esophagectomy), Gynecology, Neuro (craniotomy for tumor/neurostimulators/mod radical neck with trach), Orthopedic, kidney transplants, and whipples.

Ventricular/ICP Monitoring: Yes to ventricular drains. No to ICP monitoring in PACU. Goes directly to ICU if need ICP.

Art lines/Central Lines/must be familiar with vasoactive and sedative drips/chest tube tubes/trachs

HIGH ACUITY HIGH VOLUME PACU/controlled chaos in evenings

PACU Overnight boarders regularly include the following ICU craniotomies, step down, or med surg patients.

Preferred previous ICU and/or high acuity PACU experience.
