All positions at Providence Health & Services require that any and all lab items requested during onboarding be completed within 72 hours of signing a contract - no exceptions. This means candidates must be responsive and willing to go to a lab to complete health orders ASAP after signing. Failure to comply may lead to a pushed start or cancellation as assessed by the facility.

References must cover at least 1 full year of relevant experience in specialty within the past 3 years

Start time can be 6am or 12pm

Generalist duties. Limited Microbiology, gram staining required. Blood Bank does Type and Screen, PEG/AHG, Electonic/IS/Full XM, DAT. Antibody ID is managed by the CLS on duty, but the Antibody ID and Antigen testing is sent to the BB reference lab. BB uses Wellsky.

Variable - Days 0600-1430 (2x/week). Evenings 1200-2030 (3x/week).

Clinician to patient ratio: 1

First-timers accepted: Yes, depending on experience

Open to accommodating block schedule per manager discretion.

Holidays: traveler must be willing to work 2 out of the 3 major holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year

Return Staff Policy: 3 months to return as traveler

BLS Must be AHA (Instructor, Provider, or RQI) or “Heart&Stroke” certification from Canadian Heart & Stroke Foundation ONLY.
