Travel Nurse (RN) - Labor & Delivery Unit

North Hawaii Community Hospital is located in Waimea, Hawaii on the "Big Island". The Family Birthing Unit is comprised of 5 private labor and delivery suites, 1 triage room, 3 postpartum overflow beds & a level 1 nursery. The Family Birthing Unit is a low-risk OB unit but is equipped to manage high-risk stabilization until transport occurs. Nurses’ care for labor and delivery patients, postpartum couplets and stabilization of neonates until appropriate transport occurs. North Hawaii Community Hospital is a Baby-Friendly designated hospital and offers a collaboration of Physician and Midwifery services.

48 Guaranteed Hours, No RTO will be approved for initial contract.

Graduate of accredited nursing program; BSN preferred. Two (2) or more years full-time Labor & Delivery RN experience prior to any travel contracts. Mother/Baby couplet care and Newborn stabilization experience preferred

EFM Certification from NCC is requirement. Advanced or Intermediate Fetal Monitoring Courses are not a substitute. STABLE certification preferred.

COVID vaccine or booster 2023 or later. FLU current season (2024/2025) flu vaccination (No exemptions or declinations for travelers accepted at this time)

All compliance will be due 10 days before start! If it is not all submitted 10 days or more before start your traveler will be pushed 2 weeks or canceled! Please include a current nursys report for all submissions
