Experience

24 months of role experience is required from any number of months.

24 months of Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit experience is required from last 4 years.

References

Candidates must provide 1 manager/supervisor reference from within the past 12 months in order to be considered for this role

Candidates must provide 1 reference from within the past 3 years in order to be considered for this role

License

Candidates must have a Nebraska license or compact license

Weekend Requirements: Every other

Holiday Requirements: Every other or as needed for based on unit needs

Floating Requirements: Will float to all inpatient units, excluding Maternity/NICU

Beds: 18

Common diagnoses/Types of patients: Open heart, complex thoracic and vascular patients recover on the unit. Patients are stabilized and supported by Impella, IABP, CRRT, and ECMO. Common and advanced cardiac surgeries, lytic cases, carotids and TCARS, Fempop, EVARs/Endo AAAs; Unit also supports complex cases coming from Cath lab, structural heart program and EP lab, ER, and clinic

Experience or 'Must have' skills: Must have 1 year of experience with this patient population

Are RNs required to titrate drips?: Yes - Common titratable &/or set rate drips: Vasopressors, paralytics, narcotics, sedation, antiarrhythmics

RNs need to be able to read and interpret

Candidate may not be full time, part time, or PRN with any facility associated with CommonSpirit, including CHI and/or Dignity.

RTO needed upfront (7 or less days per 13 week contract). Additional RTO will not be approved, including after submissions.
