Requirements
Experience
24 months of role experience is required.
6 months of Telemetry Unit experience is required.
3 months of experience with Cerner is preferred.
References
Candidates must provide 1 reference from within the past 36 months in order to be considered for this role
Candidates must provide 1 manager/supervisor reference from within the past 12 months in order to be considered for this role
License
Candidates must have a Arizona license or compact license

Guaranteed 36 hours per week

4 total weekend shifts per 4 weeks, 2 out of 3 major holidays

Must have Level I Trauma Experience

Must pass Dysrhythmia Exam Prior to Acceptance, 80% passing score - 48 hours to complete

Travel teams must have their own cars

DAY 1 PASS FAIL SIMs Lab: All RNs will be expected to complete SIMs Lab for Foley catheter insertion & central line dressing changes, with the exception of NyICU & ED. NyICU only has to do Foley catheter insertion. ED does Foley catheter insertion but does port-a-cath insertion instead of central line dressing change. This is for travelers going to St. Joseph main campus &/or St. Joseph Westgate campus. NOTE - SIMs lab is pass/fail & nurses have been termed during SIMs Lab for breaking sterile field. Those travelers that understand sterile field typically pass SIMs Lab skills

Common diagnoses/Types of patients: CABG, MVR, STEMI, HF, Fundoplication, VATS Decordication, vascular repair

Experience or 'Must have' skills: Experience with post-op Cardiovascular Surgery Patients is highly recommended, but not required

RNs required to titrate drips

RN should be able to interpret common rhythms. GE tele packs and monitors.
