Travel Allied (Cath Lab / Interventional Technologist) - Cardiac Cath Lab

Shift Details: Monday-Friday, with one day off per week. Will alternate day off each week based on unit needs.

Weekend REQ: No

Is on-call REQ: Yes 1 night/weekday

All travelers will float within service line

Guaranteed Hours: 40

Preferred: ARRT VI, RCIS, ARRT advanced cert

Special Requirements: Main responsibility will be to operate the Siemens Zeego Fluoro machine in Vascular in the hybrid OR vascular suites. Secondary responsibility will include being the monitor tech including documentation in EPIC. Department serves around 30-40 cases/day, volume is variable. Patient cases include Cardiac and vascular diagnostic and interventional cases. Hybrid OR also includes structural heart and endovascular repairs. Dual role position.

PLEASE NOTE: Barnes Jewish Hospital is a teaching hospital. Technologist will not be scrubbing in during Cath Lab/Vascular Procedures.

No weekend call coverage required. Only 1 night per week (mon-fri)

Siemens Zeego Fluoro machine, IVUS machine, Contrast injector, MacLab

Can be an X-ray tech or Cath Lab tech

Fit testing: *Travelers must have facial hair that allows for proper testing or will be expected to shave. No exceptions

RTO: RTO must be on the submittal and cannot be changed once the profile has been sent to the manager for review.

No RTO the first week of an assignment.

Amount of RTO: please, no more than 7 days of RTO per 13 week contract, HIGHLY encouraged - (for Float pool, 7 days RTO max - hard rule)

BJC policy: Every other weekend required

Candidates will float within hospital or to an affiliate hospitals near by

Return Staff Policy (ex: gone 1 yr or 6 months to return as traveler) –

Permanent employees at must wait 1 year before returning to any BJC facility as a traveler.

All Standard Travelers (reside outside of a 75 mile radius) can stay for an 18 month period. Must take a 3 month break after 18 months.

Allied and Non-Clinical: Travelers can stay for a period of 12 months. Must take a 6 month break in service after 12 months

Profile - Please indicate if your clinician is interested in a longer travel contract than 13 weeks (13 week minimum). For applicable positions, please indicate if your clinician would prefer 36 or 48 hours per week
