Guaranteed Hours 36

This unit does not do self scheduling. Block scheduling is not guaranteed, but if it works with schedule they will allow it.

Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend; however it could be more based on the needs of the unit, however this would be rare if it was more that every other.

Holidays: 2 out 3 for major holidays (winter holidays) other holidays are as needed & would fall into perm staff rotation.

Floating: Only floating would be to the other ICUs or to ER for inpatient ICU holds. First to float.

Beds: 10 beds

Ratios: 1 to 1 or 1 to 2

Common diagnosis / Types of patients: Must have general medical & surgical ICU experience in addition to CVICU experience for this unit. TAVR, Impella, IABP, recovering fresh hearts immediate from the OR, Lumbar drains, Swanz, manual hemo experience preferred. STEMI, AAA, Hypothermia, sepsis, any MedSurg ICU patient, but more focused on CV & CT patients. No CRRT.

Must have experience recovering fresh hearts directly from the OR within past 6 months

All MyJourney modules need to be completed prior to arrival. Traveler will be pushed back if all modules are not completed. No exceptions

Time off requests need to be requested prior to the contract. Requests made after the assignment has started will need to be approved by the manager when they make the schedule.

Scrub Color: Navy blue. If you wear a scrub jacket it also must be navy. If you wear an undershirt underneath your scrub top it must be navy, white, or black.
