Requirements
Experience
36 months of Labor & Delivery Unit experience is required.
Experience with Cerner is required.
References
Candidates must provide 2 manager/supervisor references in order to be considered for this role
License
Candidates must have a District of Columbia license

ACLS (Required)
NRP (Required)
Intermediate AWHONN FHM (Required)
Vaccinations

Minimum Degree Required: Bachelor's Degree

Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program – Required

BSN - Highly desired

L&D Experience - Required: 3 Years

Patient population includes, Females of childbearing years, pregnant 17 weeks gestation, laboring, scheduled procedures (C-sections, external cephalic versions, cerclage (we try not to do these on the unit)), and Triage issues.

The activity on the unit includes admissions, discharges, transfers, pre-op, and deliveries (vaginal and C/S).

Common equipment used in Labor and Delivery includes Fetal Monitors, Cerner and Fetalink documentation.
