Experience
12 months of role experience is required from any number of months.
24 months of Psychiatric Unit experience is preferred from any number of months.
License
Candidates must have a Indiana license or compact license

Additional Details:

A minimum of 1 year acute care experience is required to work in acute care facilities. The following are considered acute care facilities: Hospital (General Acute Care as well as Psychiatric, Specialized and Rehabilitation Hospitals, and Long Term Acute Care or LTAC), and Ambulatory Care Facilities.

Weekly Guaranteed Hours: Full time hours = 36/week

Weekend Hours: Saturday and Sunday every 3rd weekend

Call Requirements: no call requirements

Additional Notes: We currently have two units within the hospital, staff rotate working each unit.

Equipment: Patients must be medically cleared before arriving to the facility. Patients with lines or tubes are part of our exclusionary criteria with the exception of CPAPS and patients needing 2L of oxygen or less.

Patient Population e.g. “geriatric, adult, peds, etc.”: Adult

Must Have Skills/Experience: Experience with crisis intervention, verbal de-escalation, active listening skills, and empathetic communication skills preferred.

Preferred Skillset/Experience: Accurate and thorough charting and behavioral management skills.

Common Diagnosis/Treatment: substance abuse disorders, mood disorders, psychotic disorders, PTSD, anxiety disorders

Required Education: Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse

Scrub Color: Navy blue
