Additional Details:
Seasonal Flu Vaccine is required if working during flu season (September 15-April 30th).
Must be fully vaccinated (exemptions are reviewed on a very limited basis).
No Block Scheduling for any Travelers at Salem.
Every Other Weekend
Must be able to read tele strips
Floating Required: Yes.
Rotating Shifts Required: All Day positions are “Day Rotate” (7a-7p, 11a-11p, 7p-7a). Rotation is not required for Night positions.
Skill Sets Required: Telemetry monitoring by RN (must be able to read tele strips), management of Chest tube, NGT, epidurals, and Capnography.
Skills preferred: Management of Arterial lines and management of neo-synephrine.
Clinician to Patient Ratio: Patient ratios are 6-10 patients per PCA and 3-5 patients per RN. Stepdown ratios are 2-3 per RN.
Patient Population: We care for patients after the following types of Surgeries: General, GYN, Vascular, Thoracic, Urology, Oral, Plastics, and Trauma.
EMR (Charting System): EPIC.
Certifications Required: Active Massachusetts RN License. BLS.
