Experience

24 months of role experience is required from any number of months.

24 months of Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit experience is required from last 4 years.

References

Candidates must provide 1 manager/supervisor reference from within the past 12 months in order to be considered for this role

Candidates must provide 1 reference from within the past 3 years in order to be considered for this role

Candidates must have a Arizona license or compact license

Weekend Requirement Every other weekend, Friday and Saturday for Nights

Holiday Requirement: Holiday rotation to distribute holidays fairly

Is there a call or standby requirement?: If low census, staff rotates standby turns.

Floating Requirements: Float into our Multi Care Unit & Pediatric unit to care for adult MST, also float to our West Campus MedSurg Tele. First to Float.

Beds: 30 (we have three 10-bed units)

Common diagnoses/Types of patients:

Surgical: total hip & knee replacement, small bowel resection
Hysterectomy, exploratory lap.
Medical: MRSA, C-diff infections, suicide attempt, drug or Alcohol withdrawal, COPD, pneumonia, COVID
Telemetry: chest pain

Experience or 'Must have' skills: Will need to be able to read and interpret telemetry. May be asked to precept nursing students. Minimum of 1 year in MedSurg, prefer candidates with experience in telemetry. Must be willing to care for both MST/PCU patients.

RNs do need to be able to Read their Tele strips.

Clinician must take and pass dysrhythmia exam within two attempts prior to signing contract.

Candidates may not be full time, part time, or PRN with any facility associated with CommonSpirit, including CHI and/or Dignity within the past year. DL needed at time of submittal with perm address.

Scrub Color/Dress Code: Currently can wear any scrub color except camouflage
