Travel Nurse (RN) - Cardiac Transitional Care Unit

36-hour guarantees only (no 48s) – can pick up additional shifts

Must work 2 of 3 major holidays.

Start dates are not flexible.

Charge to make schedule to balance unit needs, will take travelers requests into consideration.

Weekend Requirement 4 weekend days per month

Is there Call or a Standby requirement? Low Census for full or partial day

Floating Requirements ICU within patient population, and MS floors

This unit has cardiac focus - Beds 36

Nurse: Patient Ratios 1:4-5 could have some mixed MS and PCU patients; 1:5 for all MS patients

Common diagnoses/Types of patients CHF, NSTEMI, MI, heart block, pacer, TAVR, CABG day 2, recovers cath pts after sheath is pulled, Watchman, bradycardia, VT, general PCU overflow: respiratory failure, low BPs, low hemoglobin, sepsis, post surgical, etc.

Need PCU/Tele? Stepdown exp

Prefer experience with TAVR and CABG (core staff usually take)

Travelers must have experience with all drips below

Common titratable &/or set rate drips amiodarone, Cardizem, dobutamine, dopamine, heparin, start nitro, insulin

Required Certification: NIHSS - AHA or APEX

Time Off- Ensure dates make sense for the required start date and are 5 days or less.
