Requirements
Experience
24 months of role experience is required.
12 months of Intensive Care Unit experience is required.
3 months of experience with Meditech is preferred.
References
Candidates must provide 2 references from within the past 12 months in order to be considered for this role
License
Candidates must have a Louisiana license or compact license

Additional Details:

Documentation system: Meditech using EBCD (Evidence Based Clinical Documentation)

Scheduling requirements: All nursing shift are twelve hours from 7 to 7; every other weekend. Holiday requirements

Floating policy: Nursing staff will float to other Medical-Surgical Units in the hospital as needed with priority focus on pulling to Intensive Care Units.

Patient Experience requirements: Hourly rounding, bedside hand-off reporting, completion of “My Care Board” during hand-off report; use of AIDET with a focus on compassionate connected care

Must have: Must be willing to care for COVID-19 patients, ICU experience

Advanced skills needed: Ventilator management, critical care drip knowledge, thorough and accurate assessment skills, and proficient knowledge with cardiac, neuro, and respiratory systems, and Don and Doff of PPE.
