Experience

24 months of role experience is required.

12 months of travel experience is required.

24 months of Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit experience is required.

3 months of experience with Epic is required.

References

Candidates must provide 1 manager/supervisor reference from within the past 24 months in order to be considered for this role

Additional Details:

Seasonal Flu Vaccine is required if working during flu season (September 15-April 30th).

Must be fully vaccinated (exemptions are reviewed on a very limited basis).

No Block Scheduling for any Travelers at Salem.

Floating Required: Travelers are required to float to applicable units when needed

Night positions do not rotate

Skill Sets Required: Travelers should have knowledge on cardiac drips and be able to interpret Tele Strips. Nursing care for patients post cardiac catheterization and pacemaker is needed but not required.

Patient Population: Davenport 8s primary diagnosis is CHF, Atrial Fibrillation, Pulmonary Embolus and pneumonia. We also have patients coming in for with ETOH, dementia with Cardiac co-morbidities.

Sometimes, we also occasionally admit surgical patients if the other units do not have a bed.

Must be Telemetry certified.
