Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend.
Float Requirement: Required to float within units of equivalent or lower level of acuity. This position will float to NICU as needed.
2 years of experience with vents, CPAP and/or BIPAP as well as Central Line Care.
Will accept a first time traveler with 2 years of PICU experience.
IV Start Certification preferred.
RTO:
Inpatient:
-RTO during a contract will not be approved for greater than 8 days and this must be scheduled so that the traveler can still work his/her full 36 hours/week.
-RTO in between the ending of one contract and the beginning of another will not be approved for greater than 7 days.
Return Staff Policy If a nurse has held previous employment with Medstar, must be gone for a minimum of 1 year to return as a traveler.
References must cover at least 1 full year of relevant experience in specialty within the past 3 years.
Manager may or may not interview. Clinician must be okay with this. If Clinician has questions, please email the AM.
