Travel Nurse (RN) - Progressive Care Unit

Guaranteed Hours 36 hours per week

Shift Notes Region III: Primary to St. Michael Medical Center but if needed, travelers will be required to float throughout Region Three: St Anthony Hospital – Gig Harbor, WA; St. Michael Medical Center – Silverdale, WA.

CRRN, PCCN preferred not required.

Common diagnoses/Types of patients TAVR, Post Caths- TR bands and fem stops, Temporary/ transvenous pacemakers, VATS, lobectomies, POD 4-5 CABG,Thoracic- fem pops, etc.

Shifts & Scheduling. 6 weeks at a time. Self scheduling, balanced then reviewed by the manager. First schedule they would be filling holes.

Weekend Requirement EOW weekend at minimum, Sat, Sun, Mon have high needs.

Holiday Requirement at least 1 major holiday during the holiday season

Is there a call or standby requirement? No

Floating Requirements Within Skill set, traveler may float to 4th floor but take a PCU load

Scrub Color/Dress Code Any professional color scrubs.

Unit/Department specific orientation Can test out of Epic if experienced within the last year. (EPIC experience preferred). 8 hour Epic class in Tacoma in a centralized education department along with an 8 hour onboarding and education day, tours etc and then 1 Shift with a preceptor.
