Travel Nurse (RN) - Post Anesthesia Care Unit

Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week

With call 1-2 week nights per week, and 1 weekend a month

• Phase 1 and Phase 2: yes

• Charge Nurse: Yes - they do take a patient assignment

• Weekend Requirement: 48 hour call on weekend(once per month about) , 8-16 hr call per week

• Holidays: work in as needed, mandatory 24 hr call

• Call requirement: week day - requirement is variable based on needs of unit (hours are 2:30pm - 5:30am) - weekend call requirement depends on rreguluar schedule - 48 hours (once per month generally, could be more) hours are Saturday 7am- Monday 5:30am

• Tele: GE

• Vents: No

• Floating: Will have to float to ambulatory care for cases - they need to have experience with conscious sedation

• Floor specific orientation: 2-3 shifts of orientation, depending on skillset

• Common types of cases to recover: c-sections (must have exp recovering), anterior repairs, GI, bowel cases, whipples, gyn, general, eyes, etc.

• ICU patients - do they recover in PACU: sometimes ICU patients will recover in PACU

• Additional Notes: ICU experience is preferred.
