Travel Nurse (RN) - Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit

Additional Details:

Previous perm staff must be gone for 2 years before they are eligible to return in a traveler capacity. No exceptions.

Artificial nails are not allowed for any travelers. Failure to adhere could result in being sent home and/or terminated if policy is not followed.

If candidate worked a perm facility in the last 12 months, 1 reference must be from perm facility.

Roles requiring a state licensure only: Cannot have any licensure hits

Guaranteed 36 hours per week

Rotating weekends and holidays required.

Will be required to float to 5P Surgical unit at Thomas Memorial Hospital when volume low and not needed on Joint Connection.

Common diagnosis / Types of patients: Elective hip and knee replacements only

Will see home CPAP machines on occasion, otherwise nasal cannula delivery only

Weekend Requirements: Every other Friday/Saturday as needed. Unit closed on Sundays.

Holiday Requirements: Rotational – if unit opened.

Call required on Friday nights or Friday/Saturday days - rotational

Floating Requirements? Yes – will be required to float to Joint Connection at Thomas Memorial.

Scrub Color/Dress Code/Scrubs Provided? Navy colored scrubs required, not provided.

Unit/Department Specific Orientation: One general orientation shift, one nursing orientation shift, one computer lab orientation shift and two 12-hour orientation shifts for unit specific processes.
