Travel Nurse (RN) - Intensive Care Unit

Daily Caseload: 4 bed ICU.

Weekend Req: Will work every other weekend.

Is on-call Req: No.

Will clinician float within scope to meet facility needs? Will float as needed.

Open to accommodating block schedule? Discuss schedule requests with manager.

Special Requirements: Required Cardiac Monitoring and Emergency response Skills/Experience: Interpretation of dysrhythmias, Management of dysrhythmias, Multi-system organ failure, Obtain 12 lead EKG. IV insulin protocols experience required. Chronic/Acute Renal failure experience required. Required IV therapy Skills/Experience: Arterial line management, Blood Product Administration, Central line care/management, PICC line management, Starting IVs.

Required Medication Skills/Experience: Continuous IV paralytics/Neuromuscular blockade, Continuous IV sedation, Emergency Medications, Titrate Cardiac drips, Titrate Vasoactive drips.

Required Respiratory/Thoracic Case Skills/Experience: Assist with management of BiPAP, Assist with management of CPAP, Assist with Chest Tube Insertion/Removal, Care of Ventilated Patient, High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC), Interpretation of ABGs, Suctioning (ETT, NT), Ventilator Management.

Required Professional Topics and Skills: Infection Prevention, Isolation Precautions/ Use of PPE, Surgical Wounds with drains/Wound Vac.

Scrub Color: Any solid color.

Parking Cost: parking permit required, no cost. Will fill out form during orientation.

RTO – we can auto-approve 5 days of non holiday RTO or less. Anything more requires facility approval. Candidate MUST WORK 2 out of 3 major holidays.

Floating is 100% required of ALL TRAVELERS - Candidates will float within hospital or to an affiliate hospital/s near by

Certs: RQI cards not accepted

Background Policy to be noted prior to submission so we can seek approval prior to offer

Any PERM or PRN employee of Memorial must be away for 12 months before applying as a traveler

Modules: Completed virtually on first day by EOD, then annually and Non-clinical hours do not vary; module hours may vary for clinical roles.
