Requirements
Experience
24 months of Intensive Care Unit experience is required.
Experience with Epic is required.
References
Candidates must provide 1 manager/supervisor reference from within the past 12 months in order to be considered for this role
Candidates must provide 1 reference from within the past 36 months in order to be considered for this role

Candidates must have a North Dakota license or compact license

Guaranteed Hours 36

Every other weekend and holiday.

Floating to all critical care departments in Sanford Fargo including Intermediate ICU with ratios up to 4:1. May be required to float to med surg units as needed to take a patient assignment of up to 3 (this is rare).

Bed size/number of rooms for this unit/dept: 18 beds

Nurse to patient ratio of this unit: 1 nurse to 2 patients IMC - 1 nurse to 4 patients.

General job duties. Types of procedures required:

  • Management of 1-2 critically ill patients, management of varying patient populations including critically ill medical, and surgical patients with an emphasis on renal and bone marrow transplant as well as oncology patients.
  • Ability to manage vasopressors, sedatives, analgesics, inotropics, antiarrhythmics, and other titratable drips.
  • Ability to assist with bedside procedures including RSI, Tracheostomy, line placement, other diagnostic tests.

Required skills and minimum years of experience:

  • 2 years of experience in a large facility over 200 beds and level 1 trauma.
  • Ability to care for critical ill patients independently.
