Requirements

Experience

24 months of role experience is required from any number of months.

12 months of Progressive Care Unit experience is required from last 3 years.

Experience with Epic is required from any number of months.

References

Candidates must provide 2 manager/supervisor references from within the past 12 months in order to be considered for this role

License

Candidates must have a Arizona license or compact license

Block scheduling can not be guaranteed.

36-hour guarantees only (no 48s) – can pick up additional shifts

Must work 2 of 3 major holidays.

Travel pairs cannot request the same schedule

NIHSS - AHA or APEX

Nurse: Patient Ratios 1:4-5 could have some mixed MS and PCU patients. 1:5 for all MS patients

Common diagnoses/Types of patients CHF, NSTEMI, MI, heart block, pacer, TAVR, CABG day 2, recovers cath pts after sheath is pulled, Watchman, bradycardia, VT, general PCU overflow: respiratory failure, low BPs, low hemoglobin, sepsis, post surgical, etc.

Prefer experience with TAVR and CABG (core staff usually take)

RNs required to titrate drips. Travelers must have experience with all drips below

Common titratable &/or set rate drips amiodarone, cardizem, dobutamine, dopamine, heparin, start nitro, insulin

Tele on this unit, Travelers need to read tele, however there is a dedicated monitor tech as well

Weekend Requirement 4 weekend days per month

Holiday Requirement 3/5 holidays

Is there Call or a Standby requirement? Low Census for full or partial day

Floating Requirements ICU within patient population, and MS floors

Scrub Color/Dress Code/Scrubs provided? Navy Blue
